Our Mission
Our Mission … our role
The association’s primary objective is to ensure constant, visible support for our members. Given the growing complexity and ever-increasing demands of the superintendent’s profession, we strive to actively support our members in their work and professional development.
Our main commitments focus on research, member training, communication and environmental preservation. All our initiatives are aimed at developing, promoting and strengthening the golf superintendent profession.
- Encourage and promote scientific research related to golf course management and maintenance.
- Be actively involved in important issues such as the environment, pesticides and many others.
- Encourage the professional development of our members through a variety of resources and a program that rewards sustained effort.
- Organize an annual conference (SSQG) and offer a varied and attractive program to contribute to our members’ professional development.
- Organize social activities to encourage exchanges and good relations between our members.
- Publish newsletters to keep our members up to date on our activities and articles to help them in their work.
- Establish sound budget management and provide our members with annual financial statements.
- Offer our members a multitude of services tailored to their individual needs.
Over the years, the QGSA has become one of the most dynamic and innovative provincial associations, and we are determined to maintain this momentum.
