The Board of Directors

Dears members,

It is with great pleasure that I assume the role of President of the QGSA after 8 years of service on the Board of directors. 

Over the past 8 years, I have had the opportunity to witness several events, acquire valuable experience, and engage in various conversations with members of both sides of our industry. The primary aim of these interactions was to identify areas where our association could improve and meet the needs of its members more effectively. It’s important to note that every member of our board has similarly contributed to this process. We have collectively identified and started exploring a new direction that we believe will be beneficial to all. 

I am confident that our recent partnership with CGSA and the appointment of Guylaine Richard as our Operations Manager will lead our association toward a new direction. Our goal is to provide better services, improve communication, and deliver greater value to all our members and partners. 

As we begin this transition, we kindly request your patience. There may be some difficulties along the way, but please rest assured that our entire board is working towards the same goal of ensuring the strength and success of our association in the future. 

As members and partners of this association, you are vital to its success. I encourage you to engage with us, offer your opinions, and provide us with your suggestions. We are listening. 

Your continued support for our events has been truly amazing. We remain committed to putting in the hard work necessary to offer you top-notch opportunities for professional development and networking. Your ongoing support for these events is essential not only to the association but also to the golf course management profession in Quebec. 

Over the next few months, the Board of Directors will be devising a strategic plan for the association that will cover all aspects of our operations and align with our core objectives. As we progress through this process, we will keep our members informed through regular communication. 

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to Jean-René Lessard for his exceptional leadership during his tenure as President. He oversaw not only the change of association management but also the successful launch of an education program for aspiring assistants and superintendents. Your commitment to the association over the past two years did not go unnoticed. Thank you!
